Photo of the day: A hefty piece of artworkMuseum visitors walk under “Levitated Mass” as Telena Vo strikes a whimsical pose on June 26 near the new permanent installation at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art in California. Created by artist Michael Heizer, the installation features a 340-ton rock wedged above a 456-foot concrete slot walkway. Although the idea for the piece was conceived in 1969, it was not constructed until Heizer found the perfect boulder more than 40 years later.
