‘Breaking Dawn’ after party features caged wolves
The party for the premiere of “Breaking Dawn Part 2,” the last film in the massively successful “Twilight” franchise, was by all accounts a standard Hollywood affair — except for the live caged wolves.
According to PETA, “The wolves were provided by Hollywood Animals, a notorious exhibitor that has been cited for numerous violations of the Animal Welfare Act for repeatedly failing to provide the animals it exploits with basic veterinary care and proper shelter, space, food and water.”

Indian snake charmers urged to switch to fake snakes
The animal rights group called on snake charmers to use fake reptiles during an upcoming serpent festival and spare the animals their annual torture. PETA says the snakes are cruelly captured in suffocating bags, kept in tiny boxes, starved or forced to drink milk. Their teeth are often violently torn out, and many snakes’ mouths are sewn shut.

PETA launches XXX site
Ever since PETA first announced last summer that it was securing one of the new .xxx top level domains for a ”pornography site that draws attention to the plight of animals,” reaction has varied from amusement to outrage. This morning, the organization finally took the wraps off of the new site — and guess what? It’s really not that bad.
